Be lucky to do half that, now.

You know what the breath-holding (static apnea) record is today?

11 minutes and 35 seconds.

Beyond belief, but that's it.Steve Perryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12079658447270792228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-36738744412179549202009-09-22T15:11:13.888-07:002009-09-22T15:11:13.888-07:00http://www.amazon.com/Total-Immersion-Revolutionar...http://www.amazon.com/Total-Immersion-Revolutionary-Better-Faster/dp/0743253434/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1253657450&sr=8-1

for swimmingUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08107681542002416126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-33129529916150897132009-09-18T19:56:09.807-07:002009-09-18T19:56:09.807-07:00With regard to "common knowledge" and 2 ...With regard to "common knowledge" and 2 not always being 2...

Maybe this is a difference between a street cop and a correctional officer. (Please note, I AM NOT SAYING ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER!)

Street cops -- at least the effective ones -- learn real quick that nobody ever really tells the truth. Very little is what it seems to be on the surface... Two examples, from my time doing crash reconstruction: The classic "Officer, I know what happened! I saw it all. I heard a crash, and then I looked over..." is the first. The other was when I responded to a crash, and what people were saying didn't match the physical evidence. It took me several repeated go-rounds of questions to find out that they'd moved the cars, reversing their directions and locations...

Just an observation... And I'm still trying to make some other thoughts land.jks9199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-55081061268611445752009-09-18T16:06:05.690-07:002009-09-18T16:06:05.690-07:00Seeing that 2 wasn't quite 2...cynical "w...Seeing that 2 wasn't quite 2...cynical "witch" that I became of the media so long ago just extrapolating from our local messes I've watched local stories balloon, as have you, into total circus shows, that seem to have very little relationship to the real "facts" of the actual news. Somehow I find this unsurprising.

The older I get the more I read on line from other countries, individuals, and other news sources than our own...and listen to people's opinions who I feel might just give a shit. So existential or not the post made some sense in that way.

After reading Steve's post on your workout, I was wishing I had a video of you two, if only so I could see what the dogs thought of your play. ;D

As always, you give me more than enough to think about...but J does describe what I remember of your swimming to a T.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15511155842899819113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-2761338752737238042009-09-18T13:01:26.469-07:002009-09-18T13:01:26.469-07:00Indeed, we had a fine ole time and I came away imp...Indeed, we had a fine ole time and I came away impressed, not only with your skill set, but with the thought process behind it. Fun stuff, definitely pulled me out of my comfort zone, which was even better.

It's impossible not to be invested in your art when you've spend a long time at it. On the other hand, I don't want to be the guy from the joke, wherein the young newlywed puts her encyclopedia up for sale on craigslist -- I won't need them, she says. My husband already knows everything ...

I don't recall saying it, but apparently I allowed at one point that you can't show somebody how to do close mano a mano stuff blindfolded in an hour.

I sit corrected. Rory can.

Any of you have a chance to move a little with the man, save room on your dance card. Makes for a great tango ...

Now, I need to meet Mac 'cause I probably owe him an apology for something or the other, too ...Steve Perryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12079658447270792228noreply@blogger.com
