Attempts to live closer to nature (for whatever reason) get a lot more grey than they would seem from afar.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-89922234093180232442008-02-01T13:10:00.000-08:002008-02-01T13:10:00.000-08:00David- yeah. The differences and similarities (between survivalism and neo-primitivism) are something to think about and possibly write about. The thing about doing it and depending on the skills is that it de-romanticizes it very quickly. Really living off the land, especially if you are fending for others, is hard work and often cold and it itches.

Patrick- I'm flattered. Thanks for saying nice things. I was thinking fennel, carroway, pepper (lots) paprika, garlic (lots)... and then Kai gave the perfect answer.

Kai, Mark, Ted.- You'd all be welcome at Rancho Pockylips.Roryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08483616030072739190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-92086484595286589692008-02-01T12:17:00.000-08:002008-02-01T12:17:00.000-08:00Patrick: I think the obvious answer here, on so m...Patrick: I think the obvious answer here, on so many levels, is jerk spice.

;)Kai Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13319136737099550784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-77291760219668737462008-02-01T07:05:00.000-08:002008-02-01T07:05:00.000-08:00zombie apocalypse indeed! Some overlap, but distinct differences. Wondered if you had any experience with the latter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-1923428377085449482008-01-30T15:55:00.000-08:002008-01-30T15:55:00.000-08:00Heh. They can't deal with the idea that their society, their nation, the world, will soldier on even when they're as long dead and anonymous as J. Random Ancient Roman. So any world that would survive them would have to be some post-apocalyptic nightmare that no one would want to endure anyhow.Mark Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01994430001543710190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-88260783515005172292008-01-30T14:32:00.000-08:002008-01-30T14:32:00.000-08:00:):)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
