My current line of work requires me to be "nice" - to the point that I have to be compliant (retail). So whenever I get off of work I feel a sigh of relief because I can actually stand up for myself...

...which in turn, I can come off as a sarcastic asshole. Anyway, just found your site now. If I can more reliably tell what you will do than you can, then my observations are closer to the underlying reasons than your beliefs about your motivations.
2) IME most people know their rationalizations very well (and can argue why they are right). Far fewer know the reasons and even fewer are comfortable with statements of fact without reasons. I don't like the texture of oysters. I don't like the taste of brie. these are true. Once I start explaining why, there is more room for true to wiggle aay.Roryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08483616030072739190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-17653016924758362412012-02-02T12:10:44.143-08:002012-02-02T12:10:44.143-08:00"Steve I think your falling into the everyone..."Steve I think your falling into the everyone makes reational decisions, and forgetting sometime we make them on feelings. For me this translates to: if an ass-whupin' is the only way to get you to stop being stupid, then you get what you want. I won't be sad about it, or sorry afterwards, I'll just do it 'nicely.'Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-31540477177476697392012-01-31T08:06:36.038-08:002012-01-31T08:06:36.038-08:00I have never understood the "why" of a p...I have never understood the "why" of a person who seeks out and lives for negativity, conflict, etc. but your assessment seems to provide one ....
the need for even negative attention ..... sigh.Charles Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13812618556413423872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-70704740372580318282012-01-31T06:15:34.532-08:002012-01-31T06:15:34.532-08:00Said the only man I know who can "smile"...Said the only man I know who can "smile" with his eyes alone ;-)Lise Steenersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05040510534717038918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-42198385841432028072012-01-30T23:09:42.829-08:002012-01-30T23:09:42.829-08:00Hmmm...Hmmm...Josh Kruschkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09288700371539530398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-26738081281468338082012-01-30T21:03:16.376-08:002012-01-30T21:03:16.376-08:00Hi Rory, there are 2 types of people in this World...Hi Rory, there are 2 types of people in this World, those that think there are 2 types of People and those that Don't.WING CHUN INCashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17038031299385538141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14473417.post-27116862925770265192012-01-30T18:11:27.869-08:002012-01-30T18:11:27.869-08:00"Being a dick increases friction.
