I haven't been writing here very much. It's a combination- very busy, sometimes long days and reports and projects, other writing (making some headway on the next book) and very intermittent, very limited internet access.
I'm also in a delicate place- this blog was originally a place I could go with some anonymity to write about my world, to try to work out some things on the screen that were hard to work out purely internally. In the last few months, I've felt obligated to post things, to keep writing for you, whoever you are. The internal motivations have been edging towards external- that's not something I need in my world right now.
The things that compel me to write are still happening- they have been significant and frequent, as you would expect in a place this different. But the things I would most like to write about, the OMG WTF just happened? stuff... I can't write about. Both common sense and my contract prohibit it. It's very cool, it just has to stay private for some time.
So, if you read regularly, don't expect a lot of volume for a while.

Fine. We don't *want* you to write. (Everybody shhhhhh be cool I'm using reverse psychology on him) Yeah.
You don't owe me anything. I don't want anything that isn't freely offered. Do what is right for you.
I didn't have an expectation that you'd write about what you are currently doing. I did have an expectation that you might write about the past, because people who've bought the book might be looking here for more. Of course they have the archive to look through; that's a few hours reading at least.
I agree with kai -- you owe us nothing. Don't burden yourself with that.
That said, I'd love to hear about what you're doing someday, when it's safe to talk about, if ever.
take care,

It's ok, that's what happens when you get more exposure. I also noticed a link to this blog in your book, that I finished to read last week, so more people will be comming.
Thanks for sharing,
I look forward to your next post, as always, whether it's tomorrow or two weeks from now.
As for subject, I can relate. What's going on now is what bloggers like to blog about, me included. But as Kai pointed out, writing about the past works too. You have such a colorful past! And great stories. They're old news to you but they're new for a lot of folks on the web.
Old friends, good times, hairy places, and parties that only half the people who were there remember. Always more to write about, when you have time.
Hey - for several years, I have checked this site every morning, just to feel like I have some sort of connection. I get that things are delicate and I like the idea of you posting your past, especially if you talk about the 17-20something age - I feel like those are really "the missing years" when I lost you for awhile (sort of lost myself in there, too). I read Kami's blog, and she keeps us updated on the family side of you - like I know that you are alive, and loved, and how your kids, cats and dogs are doing, etc. So - really, I gotta go with Kai on this one, no obligation to write unless yo can't help yourself and the keyboard suc
ks you in.
Love you!
Rory, Just found you blog. Take care and I pray for you often. Your blog about Kami and how important she is to you was amazing. To have that is to have lived a charmed life.
